Default Vintage Photos showing Sports Memorabilia

on occasion I've run across images (photos / snapshots) which feature specific items which WE as sports collectors consider sports memorabilia or collectibles displayed.....whether it's a shot similar to the one shown in a prior thread entitled CHI-FEDS Federal League Pennant or a snapshot of a beaming eight-year-old proudly holding, for example, a decal bat or an early sports-related board game he received as a birthday present, I find this type of image has relevance within the sports-collectibles field as they make neat, one of a kind additions when displayed with the actual item that is shown within the image, such as the one seen below, a photo postcard which features a man "playing" Take Me Out To The Ballgame on a player piano with the sheet music shown at left.....

would love to see any similar photos - the earlier the better - that others may have which falls into this particular category, as these vintage images make great companion pieces in our display cases and binders.

Default Nice idea for a thread.

Hard to imagine any piece of memorabilia I would rather have than this...

Just picked up this photo....

Looks like Willie gave out Auravision Records to all the kids who stopped by his place. It's interesting that this photo is dated 1963 and the Auravision Records are listed as a 1964 Issue. I guess these kids got the first prototypes!

Jimmy...
I think my next companion piece pickup will be a no-brainer! If I recall, the Mays Auravision Record is the most expensive of the set (Hope I'm wrong!)

as always, some great material - I constantly see items in photos and think how cool it would be to actually OWN the items shown...

perezfan - the Willie Mays with Auravision record (nice pick-up, by the way) reminded me that I have this vintage 1960's 8 x 10 showing
Willie with one of his Hartland Statues atop a cake at a "Willie Mays Fan Club" event at Mount Zion Hospital:

Wow... that's even cooler. What a great photo to display with his Hartland (King of Clout style, of course!)

Wow... some great stuff in that one! Sure wish more of those nifty figural pieces survived. Are those gloves/mitts hanging in the background? I am getting a headache staring at them, and not being able to figure out what they are!

Thanks! The photo is 5"x4" and hard to tell. (The Window) is printed on the back.

Default Baseball HOF Display in Credit union window

This shows many items from the baseball hall of fame that were on display in a credit union? window. The Doubleday ball, 1939 flag, autographed balls, next to framed HOF plaques, a huge display baseball, rittinger's set, and a Ruth jersey.
