Today is the 33rd Anniversary of the Passing of Thurman Munson. Even though I am a big Met fan I remember being so sad and shocked at the news 33 years ago today. Thurman was a great clutch player and the heart and soul of those great Yankee teams. RIP Thurman

Munson was my favorite player growing up...and I too remember how shocked and saddened I was...as a 10 yr old kid...when this accident occurred! I went to Lou Pinella BB camp that summer and thurman was supposed to be in attendance. The photo they gave out at camp was signed by everyone...except him.
I made a scrapbook of this incident which I still have. RIP #15! |
