Help-scoreboard authentic Greg Maddux autograph

Good morning,
As a quick disclaimer, I am a vintage card collector and have no expertise in autographs whatsoever. My question is- I bought this Greg Maddux card many years ago when I was a child. It has the embossed scoreboard logo on the left corner, however, the autograph doesn't seem to match Maddux's other autographs so for years, I always assumed it was fake..was that a correct assumption? i would be interested if the sig is good and you're looking to sell. i've had a couple of these scoreboard-stamped cards that was good, but i've also heard of fake ones. ken can probably confirm the authenticity.

That looks like Mad-Dog's early signature, circa 87/88. He changed it to a much quicker, sloppier version which is what you probably saw. This one is most likely good.

It's good, IMO. This is his more legible, early career signature. My younger brother has several from '88 that he got through the mail back then. I don't know why I didn't send any to Maddux, as I was too busy sending my cards to Gary Varsho, Jerome Walton, and Shawon Dunston.
