Yuck! I've never seen a Mathews that sloppy, as he had a nice auto IMO. I guess it could be real, but I sure wouldn't touch it.

Maybe I have to take back the "nice sig" comment, as here is my 8x10 I got at a show when I was around 10 (in 1985). He asked my name and was really pleasant, and then personalized the photo to me. At the time I wished he hadn't, but as I now know that I'm not selling my HOF autos, I wish I had more of the guys I got at shows in the 80s personalize the autos.
 I also got a ball that I traded away long ago, but I remember it having a nice, neat sig on it. I'll state again that the OP could be real, as an older sloppier version, but I still wouldn't touch it.

I don't know if this will help. Here is a Mathews autograph I got in person back in the early 1990s and it is personalized to me.
