Default Pre-1900 Pittsburgh Baseball Card advice

Hello all,

I am a big Pittsburgh Pirates fan and memorabilia collector and collected a few key post 1900 pirates cards. However, I was looking to expand my collection and add one or a few cards from the 1800s Pittsburgh Pirates/Alleghenies. I was starting to look up information on pre-1900 baseball cards and saw Old Judge and Allen & Ginter are some of the well known sets. I was looking for Lou Bierbauer originally since it would be cool to have the player responsible for the Pittsburgh Alleghenies becoming the Pittsburgh Pirates but could not find any. So just posting this thread to see other people's ideas or what they did for their pre 1900 collections. All suggestions are welcome and appreciated. Thank you all!

Bierbauer is featured in the Old Judge set but is somewhat difficult to find in that issue (not rare but more difficult), he is pictured with the Athletics.

He is pictured on a pin back (about the size of a silver dollar) put out by the Cameo Pepsin Gum Co in 1897-1898. In that issue he is pictured with the Pittsburgh team...

His appearance in the Pepsin pin set with the Pirates means the pin had to be produced earlier 1897 or before, since he was sold to the Cardinals before the 1897 season. March 1897 I believe.

Bierbauer has six poses/cards in the Old Judge set. He's also in the Kalamazoo Bats set and has an 1898 Pepsin pin. Old Judges are the easiest to find of those cards and they show him on Philadelphia.

I would also suggest getting one from my favorite 19th century set...1895's Mayo Cut Plug. There were three Pittsburgh players featured in the set. Below is an example (not my card).

Thank you guys for all the input. I really like that 1895 Mayos Cut plug Glasscock. Was always a fan of the Mayos 1895 Cap Anson. Love the suggestions guys. Thank you!
