Acid in R310 Butterfingers
Does anyone know if you can neutralize the acid in R310 Butterfingers without lessening the value of the card? I love these cards, but wonder how long they will last.

I also collect comic books, and I use mylites-2 for my comics with double sided acid free cardboard backing. I can't say how they would work on a Butterfinger (they are SO brittle, kinda like the candy).

Thanks
I'll try that on one of my commons. I know a lady that had a frame shop used something on old newsprint. Worth a try. Thanks.

There are a few products that are used for this. Here's a couple. I think it's something that should be done, but I'm sure some would disagree.
I don't think these will reverse any aging from acid that's already happened, just prevent more. https://www.gaylord.com/Preservation...n-Spray/p/PT22 https://archival.com/deacid.html https://www.unitedmfrs.com/Archival_Mist_p/5372.htm |

There are deacidifying 'baths' for paper documents, but that in parts gets into the baseball card debates of restoration.
