I recently purchased some early topps football sets, thank you to board member here. And a 71 baseball set. Which is financially better buy complete sets or lots , card by card??thank you guys octavio.

Financially speaking, it is better to buy complete sets and upgrade. However, it isn't as much fun. It just depends on what your set building motive is: for fun or take money.

Better off buying complete sets especially if the more expensive cards are in decent shape. If I had to do it over again I wouldn’t worry about complete sets. I would buy the Mantle/Mays/Aaron in as high of a grade as one can afford and also buy high grade high numbers and short prints. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck!!
