Not sure if anybody has posted about this, but figured that I would share just in case.
I just watched a really interesting episode of "The Sweet Spot: A Treasury of Baseball Stories." You'll need amazon prime/prime video to watch it. Season 1, episode 5 is about a baseball photographer who ended up working for Topps. He also made postcards and personal photographs for professional players. Well worth the 30 minutes to watch it. https://www.amazon.com/Sweet-Spot-Tr.../dp/B01MUSAKM8 Last edited by bocca001; 09-11-2020 at 07:20 PM. |

Among other interesting things, you can get to hear what Tony Gwynn thought about his 1983 Topps rookie card.

Just watched it, fun little clip. Most only dream of that kind of job and he got to live it. I have a few of his PCs as well.

Just watched it and that was really enjoyable. I love the fact that Tony Gwynn hated his rookie card! I think I'm going to go back and watch the entire series.
