| Dean's

Just noticed this in Sports Collectors Daily: Dean Hanley of Cincinnati-based Dean’s Cards says his company sold more cards in January than in any other month in its 20-year history. Two of those sales were 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards: a PSA 3.5 and PSA 2.

Dean is grabbing his own nuts during sleep knowing he left a lot of money on the table. Shouldn't sell. Some cards are diamond hold

If he owned a dollar store, each item would be priced at $25.

What do you think of his raw cards? Are the grades accurate? It's hard to tell from a scan whether a card is XMT or NM and I am wondering if you can trust his grades. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk Last edited by Gorditadogg; 02-05-2021 at 01:57 PM. |

Years ago I used to buy raw cards from Dean's. If I bought, say, six, I'd be happy with four and return two. They have no problem with you returning cards BUT after going through this experience a few times I asked myself, "What am I doing? What a pain. Not worth it. Too many other sources to buy from." My two cents. Peace and stay healthy. |

| I’m in with Dean

Ok I’ll admit that I routinely shunned away from listings from this dealer. Yes it was due to scary high prices. But I found a card I wanted, no one else had it and the price was only absurd not obscene!! I held my nose and clicked my mouse... In the market today, I have now determined that I will pay absurd but seldom shall I pay obscene prices. But I have (so far) refused to pay despicable prices. The thesaurus awaits my next purchase. I’m in with Dean!

Not sure about the accuracy of their grading on raw cards that they sell but I do have to support them on their graded card inventory, almost in every instance that I am looking for a card in a certain grade, if they have it, Dean's is typically the best example in that grade available, probably priced accordingly, but they do have a good eye for inventorying cards with great eye appeal (most importantly centering).
