Default 1953 Topps Harry Dorish

Has anyone ever noticed the ballpark signs in the background of this card? I've owned this card for 60 years and just saw it tonight.

Same situation with the Spencer, Byrd, Pierce, Benson and Wall cards. There are even two cards with Topps Gum on the background billboards.

Funny how seemingly obvious things in a card's background can escape us. Look no further than the '64 Ray Sadecki. There was only one kid in the neighborhood who noticed. How did we all miss that?

I've got all those cards and never noticed a thing. Talk about tunnel vision.

This one amused me out of the pack too:

My wife says we are all a bunch of ten-year old kids. She's right!

Wow! That's awesome. I'd never seen those. I started checking my collection and just noticed this in the background of my '51 Mantle.

Jarrod, I checked and my 51 Mantle doesn't have that. You must have a rare variation that should be worth even more than the recent crazy prices these are selling for.

Excellent! I thought it was special enough with the rare "three roller marks", but now this?? I'm retiring.
