I actually have that logo on another plate type item. I will post a picture tomorrow. Mine is marked Shenango Pottery CO New Castle PA on the bottom. I do not believe it is a specific team but I would love to be proven wrong. I bought mine at Brimfield earlier this year.

Yeah, forget the plate, tell me where I can get that breakfast! I've seen pottery with that logo before, but don't know anything about it.

With the S I'm thinking it's college quick look turns up Stillman, and Salem university both of them use Tigers as the name.

I'm sure there are others, especially minor leagues.

I wouldn’t rule out that it is just a generic design and the S could stand for shenango, the maker.
