| Board games: Let’s see them!

Picked up a number of board games over the last few years. I really like the graphics on some of the games from the 50’s and 60’s. I thought this would be a fun thread. Let’s see what’s out there. Came across this one from 1974 this past weekend. It looks like it was never played. The cards are like new. IMG_2900.jpg IMG_2901.jpg |

I used to have a 1974 Topps football set. Loved that set as a kid. The cards look like they are in great condition. Any good names? Could be some good value in some of those cards. Did the Topps cards come with the game or did they player need to provide them? I see there is a ’73 set on the cover - another good set. Any ‘73s in the box?

| 1923 Edition (1st of 4) of The Great American Game Great American Game.jpg Over 100 years old in working order with all the original pieces. Perhaps the original concept for 8 reels of results depending on base runners used by APBA. In better condition than others I have seen and yes I own it.

| Victorian The top Victorian era game makers were McLoughlin Brother, Selchow and Richter, and Parker Brothers...McLoughlin was pretty much top of the totum pole for graphics..the Yale Princeton football and Game of College Boat Race are Mcloughlin...The girls basketball is by Selchow...v tough...I think I only know of two or three...I haven't bought a game in probably 30 years...I think they've come down in price since I was buying them...they were on fire back then...so now's the time to buy...That girls basketball...found it at a toy show in Hayward California one Saturday when they used to have them at Centenial Hall
