Updated- Technical - A small forum change in viewing it

Update- Please See the last post and also we might have to go back to banning the members who aren't logged in (they are not banned for now) from seeing the front page as the site is crawling. Then I will get umpteen messages about why the member is banned. It's kind of a fluid situation, unfortunately.


In trying to get rid of the BOT guests, some settings have been changed. Now, you need to be logged in to see the front page. The technical company and I are working on a better solution. I am getting a few+ queries a day about it....

It's my job! And I seem to be failing at it very recently. The site is still very slow with 50000+ BOTs, currently. When the BOTs go way down the performance goes way up.

That said, I have 2 emails into the tech company that has normally helped with the forum. I also have a sales call with the Cloudflare folks tomorrow, as a back up plan. From everything I can find, Cloudflare should have the solution (knock on wood), albeit at quite a bit of additional cost. I am afraid the membership dues will have to go up 25%-50%, but well worth 2x the money!

Love the 1936 Home Run Candy cards because almost no one (including PSA on this flip) you go up to at the National knows what they are. Even many vintage dealers look at me like I have 3 eyes!

I appreciate the kind words, guys. We are still working on the issue. When the BOTs go way up, the site gets way slower. Completely revamping the whole website would be a huge task and not one I want to try, unless forced. Thanks for everyone's patience.
