Apologies to Leon if there is another thread on this.
I've used their service twice and got the unlikely to pass full authentication results. After studying other PSA or JSA examples, I felt confident. I use it due to lack of money for full loa's. A Willard Hershberger auto and a David Ortiz signed Wheaties box. Do you think they r reliable or ARE THEY KUST TRYING TO GET MORE MONEY for a full loa? Thx all. I want to sell the Ortiz to get something id rather have Plus they say 24-48 hrs and I goty answer in ONE HOUR after payment Here is the signature on the box FWIW

I would agree with the Quick Opinion on this one, the most notable difference between this and authenticated examples is the Start of the "D" in David, seems there's typically a tail (or snout?) that this one doesn't have (nor any indication that it was started). Breaking it down further, at the point in his career where he would have signed this, there should also be some curvature in the initial line of the "D;" additionally, the angles are off and its a little more compact than other authenticated examples.
It certainly could be real, but I wouldn't gamble money on it sending for a full LOA Last edited by Smanzari; 09-29-2025 at 05:00 PM. |

A "Quick Opinion" is just that. Hence, the reason they are $10. You have no idea who actually looked at the scan and made the call or what the issue may have been.
Before buying an autograph for a few hundred dollars or more, $10 fee is worth the shot. They usually err on the safe side when rejecting versus giving a thumbs up and then failing to authenticate if sent in for full LOA but I would never buy an autograph they rejected on the QO because it is likely bad. |

The Hershberger appears to be genuine but completely enhanced--at least that is what I am seeing on this end. I am guessing they were of a similar opinion on it. For $10, and for legal reasons, they're not going to expand into even "authentic" or "not authentic" based on a scan. Just "Likely to pass full authentication" or the opposite. You're not given the full story as to "why", but what I wrote should likely be the reason.
BTW, I think I'm seeing the outline of a Billy Myers autograph on the back of that piece. Does that one show any evidence of being traced over? |

i have used the Beckett Quick Opinion in past and liked it, all the ones they said were likely genuine, were stickered when I took them to an event that they had a booth at.
