To clean or not to clean? Friendly debate

I recently picked this card up. It's for my personal collection and I am not going to get it graded. In your opinion should I rub a cue tip and water "only" (to be somewhat pure) on the back to get off the paper remnants? It does look like only remnants, no paper loss, and I think I can be very successful. Please, no "ifs, ands, or buts"....... Should I do it?

Leon, I know this post is 9 yrs old already but ... try Stamp Lift first, sold by Vidiforms. It's used to take glued stamps out of albums without leaving residue. I've used it many times generally with very good results.

I sold my collection last year and 9 yrs is way too old for me to try to think about. But your suggestion is well taken..thanks
