On This Day in Baseball (August 4th)
Tom Seaver won his 300th game (1985)
Rod Carew collected his 3000th Hit (1985) Nolan Ryan put Robin Ventura in a headlock (1993) Barry Bonds tied Hank Aarons Home Run Record (2007) Alex Rodriguez hit his 500th home run (2007) and 600th home run(2010) Additionally, we nearly had another 300 Game winner, Warren Sphan on this date won his 299th game in 1961. I was actually thinking about the Ryan - Ventura fight today when I looked at the calendar. I knew it was August 4th but couldn't remember the year. Forgot the other stuff. I have a ticket to each of those events.
