American Tobacco Five Brothers Tobacco Pack 20.00
Offered here is a Pipe Smoking Tobacco pack from Five Brothers Tobacco with American Tobacco Co. listed on the pack. 20.00 plus 10.00 for shipping net. American Tobacco was forced to sell much of its tobacco empire due to antitrust laws in 1911 which would make sense to date this pack before then. It says John Finzer Louisville Kentucky , The American Tobacco Co. Incorporated. It then says This smoking tobacco is manufactured from carefully selected Kentucky and Tennessee Leaf. It is packaged in cases by hand without the use of machinery and is not broken.
I was told by Jon Canfield (a pack expert) that he thought it could be early or as late as 1940's. It is in nice shape with exception of a small smash and puncture on the front which is obvious in the scans. It has the tax stamp without a date listing that I can see . It lists the pack as containing 1 1/2 ounces. I am not sure what it worth and am open to offers and just put a price of 20.00 on it
