| 1914 Sweet Caporal player ads

I bought these on ebay a long time ago. They are pretty large: 9x11 inches. Does anybody else have any of these? I liked seeing T206 guys advertising Sweet Caporal.

I don't have any of the ads Ron but I know there were quite a few different players used in them and most were T206 subjects I know I remember seeing Rube Oldring and Dode Paskert among others I'll see what I can find and post them here.

There was a contest involving Philadelphia players at the time the ads were run but I'm not sure why some were Philly players and some weren't. 0 Philly ad.jpg 01 Philly ad.jpg These are really nice it would be a fun project if you could checklist them all. Here are a few that weren't in your post. 0 Killifer.jpg 0 McBride.jpg 0 Mitchell.jpg 0 Oldring.jpg 0 Paskert.jpg |

Curious that so far we're missing the biggest stars of the day: Cobb, Matty, Wagner, Johnson, Speaker, Wood, etc. Wondering if that might have had something to do with money.

| T206 ads

I'm not aware of any other T206 cigarette brands or tobacco brands where T206 players were directly endorsing the product. Anyone else know of any? I collect other advertising featuring T206 players, and have ads where players are endorsing baseball equipment but also ads endorsing about 30 other products. |
