Yes this is the big one! I got it years ago from Lelands. I believe the Bucky Harris one was also offered at the same time.

Not sure if that is the one was part of Bill Mastro's collection when it was sold off.

Do tell, Doug. I have a Mays plaza brick and a McCovey Cove tile.

Because the forum's current issue regarding attached pictures has hidden Mark's 1955 Brooklyn Dodger Schaefer Beer piece, I have used Flickr to upload a picture of mine, along with a little further info I uncovered when I purchased mine. The seller told me his father was a Dodger fan and purchased the sign from a lithograph company, and he would display it occasionally in his home. He even included the original shipping box it came in with the lithography company's mailing address. So I wonder if these were actually displayed in bars as advertising pieces as most of us have thought, or was it more of a collectible available for purchase by anyone. Or both? Pictures below.

Rick-

That’s undoubtedly the finest example Ive ever seen. Amazing that it survived so incredibly well. We just released a video on vintage Ad Signs. But it was taped before the info you provided on possibly being a mail-order item.

Regardless, I’ll post the link to our video in just a minute. Thanks!

Great Schaefer Beer sign Rick.

This is a new arrival for me. A 1941 Gillette Razors World Series sign. It has a bit of damage on the right side but I think it still looks great.

As promised, here's the link to our latest video.... Vintage Ad Signs! Hope you all enjoy, and many thanks for watching....

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnfb_fE0NEk

Ps. GARY, that's a super cool Gillette Sign. Coincidentally, there's also a Gillette Razors Ad Sign in our video from the same general time frame. Mine is more of a countertop easel-backed Ad Sign, but the colors and graphics are pretty similar!

That's another great video Mark. I love the bat lighter counter display.

Thanks Mark. When i got it, he mailed it disassembled in it original box so it laid flat, and all the original rubber bands which hold each row of players in place were old and broken. He didn't think it had been displayed by his father in at least 40 years.

Just saw your YouTube on the advertising pieces, great stuff. The condition of your pieces is always amazing.

Incredible Rick... What a find! Would be fascinating to see it all flattened out. I cannot think of another Ad Sign that took so much ingenuity to design and produce. They really went all-out with this one, and yours is the best one to exist!

BTW... a shout out to Bart. He always includes little added touches that often go unnoticed. In the Ad Signs Video, check out the TV Set above Angie Dickinson's shoulder (at the :20 mark)....
