Posted By: davidcycleback I haven't done the math, but the 1938 PM8 National Game Pin set is loaded with HOFers, including Gehrig, Dimaggio, Grove, Foxx, Dean, Ott, Gehringer. That set has always stood out in my mind for having the star power, and how many Pre-War sets have both DiMaggio and Gehrig? |

Posted By: Mike I collect Jimmie Foxx things. cards and all. My goal is to get all known cards and variations. I'm about half way there. And all else associated with him. Anyway......I track virtually all auctions and E bay on a weekly basis for Foxxs. The reason I say this, I have two 574's. One PSA and one SGC graded. I don't miss much. And I usually don't except anything unless it is decent shape. Sometimes we have to take what we can get. Now to the point. The two I own, are I believe the only two I have seen in the last ten years. There was a thread the other day about the rarity of early 30's cards. This certainly proves that point. They are very rare. Some may say they aren't but trust me, they are. Undervalued? Under appreciated? Time will tell. |
