Old driver's licenses were hand signed by the celebrity, so are authenticated as autographs. In fact, I once bid on (and lost) Greta Garbo's signed driver's license. |

I bid on Johnny Cash's license (it sold for like $6,500) and yes, they basically look at the signature which is in itself "self-certified" so really, what's the point of getting another person to say that it's this person signature. I'm sure "Vicki" didn't ghost sign this piece. |

I see no difference between this and getting a signed check bank authenticated...then having that autograph graded. |
