It seems that overnight (at the turn of 2008) Tiger's SP Rookie card jumped from $1200 to $8k plus is gem condition. Did the market finally recognize this card? Comments.

If I remember correctly those same cards were a lot more expensive several years ago? Or am I mistaking?

Leon, about 3 to 4 years ago, you could've picked up this raw card for $1200 and you could have bought SP boxes for $60-$80 all day long.

Actually before Christmas last year, some of them were trading hands right at 1K.

It will interesting to see how this lay off will effect prices. A BGS 9.5 recently traded hands at just below $6K.
