| Need a little help w/ Jackson

What little research I did found that it was like a stadium give-away from 1917 or 1918 and is known as a "Davis Printing" and has a blank back. If you can identify or verify authenticity for me it would be much appreciated.

| reprint

They made reprints of the one set of Davis Printing White Sox known. While I haven't handled one of those cards I can safely say that this poor lithography is not a real card. I am about 99.9 percent certain.....regards

Let me put it this way. It's fake. I wouldn't pay too much for it. There is 1 set known. I am not saying there can't be another but this card is a very poor fake. If it were original it would be much sharper. Unless you are buying it as a reprint you are making a mistake imo. I will eat my hat if it's real. regards |

If you're going to see it again, take a uv light along and see if it fluoresces. I think Leon's right... that card doesn't look right. Last edited by FrankWakefield; 07-24-2009 at 10:29 PM. |

I agree. Regardless of authenticity, it's pretty cool.
