Considering its over now, what did you guys think about this. I'm guessing a member here won it? Thought about bidding on it, but cabinets arn't my area. Was the price cheap or high?

I think it was a good deal if it was a period peice.
I don't believe it is an original peice but I could be wrong. |

It's not a real photo. I think that's a problem.

I agree with Leon..."lithoed" on cardboard does not sound period to me.

I have a copy of the original but this one looks a little different. It has much bigger borders and has square corners. Mine has rounded corners. Otherwise, the central areas are the same. I think it is a great piece. Leon is right, it is not a photo, but it still shows a great early team.

Looks to be this exact one that sold in Lelands back in 08. Creases & frame match up. I was watching it........

Matt- yes, the copy in the book, which was printed using the halftone process, is mine. 1879 would have been a little early for a halftone, but certainly possible. I think the process was first used in the early 1870s.

I'm shocked that it actually took 3 minutes from the end of the auction before someone posted this. I was expecting to see it within about 15 seconds, I know that everyone on this board was all over this item.............
