| Jack Rowe Tomlinson Photo

Tomlinson Photo was at 236 Woodward Ave. and Randall Photo was at 220 Woodward Ave. Are these two photos both Jack Rowe? Thanks D.

The first is probably Jack Rowe (will verify later). The 2nd is certainly not.

What we can be certain of right now is that these are 2 different people. If you purchased the 2nd photo thinking it was Rowe, you made a mistake.

Glad it didn't set you back much. Just to reduce the chance of someone else having the same hunch, I'll make a couple of points (more could be made). These guys really are very different. The real Rowe is below right. 1) The guy on the left has a very wide chin (jaw-line). Rowe does not - the difference is substantial. 2) The ear shape is markedly different, that alone ends the story. |

FWIW, the first cabinet in this thread is in fact Jack Rowe. The 1887 Tomlinson portrait was used to help create the 1887/88 Detroit Baseball Currency.
