Make some noise- Most valuable cards in the world

Tired of the falsely distressed valuable cards not being listed as reprints on EBay.
I have reported the seller BUBBYDUDE (LINK BELOW) to Ebay and have told the buyer the following...

Going to report you to EBay, and if necessary to Postal inspectors for postal fraud. these are not unknowns, they are reprints. One does not have a cache of multiples of the rarest cards which are all distressed. And they are not from an estate sale. If so, it will be yours to prove to the feds that it was. Either list them all as reprints which are distressed or I will go to the postal inspector for fraud, which is a federal offense.

If the buyer does not properly list them, I will report him to postal inspectors and let them sort out whether this is fraud or not. I will post the contact information for postal inspectors if this person does not properly list them soon.

I could use some help. Is anyone else willing to back me up and also report this to the feds if necessary?

These sorts of listings are horrible and prey on people's lack of knowledge and sense of hope of landing a rare card. We can go into whether there should be some common sense exercised, but that is another discussion. Take him down if you can. I am in favor

I'm not at all surprised by the number of idiots on ebay. I just never realized how many of them like crappy baseball card reproductions.

Does eBay have a requirement that if a card is being sold as a reprint, it has to say reprint in the listing title? If they don't, they ought to. By not stating reprint in the title, the seller is, in my opinion, stating that the item is genuine, and then disclaiming it "below the fold" in the item description. This comes up in consumer protection cases periodically and is generally viewed as deceptive. A disclaimer can't typically cure a previously stated claim.

Well stated, I think. And there's even an arcane but still valid eBay rule that states that a seller cannot disclaim authenticity of the item being sold. By allowing a seller to claim "unknown" authenticity, in my opinion eBay is in direct violation of their own bylaws!
