Kaline and Cabrera Opinions

Hi All,

Since I am clearly striking out hard with the vintage autographs, I am curious to get your thoughts on these. I bought them in Lakeland - the price was right, so as you can imagine I am now unsure. Thanks!

These may be real, but they are so sloppy that it's hard to tell.
Both Kaline and Miggy usually take their time and lay down a classy signature.
Here is a nice Miguel Cabrera signed ball in my own personal collection for reference.

Actually, the Cabrera looks like a rushed signature he gives IP. His sit-down is much nicer than his Pre-Game signature.

For the Kaline I would say no. Ive had quite a few since he is a very active signer and they all looked the same and it wasnt like that. He has a really simple and easily readable sig.

I have a few in person Kaline that look like this, and don't look like his common neat signature. In person, when not being paid, Kaline is pretty grumpy and gives a much sloppier autograph.

Good info. I never got a Kaline that I didnt pay for. He always was very cordial when I got them. I guess it shows what a difference it makes when you are getting paid to do something and when you are not.

Thought I'd post this here since this recently came up. I just went down to Florida for a few games of instructs and ran into Kaline in Lakeland on Wednesday. This is the signature he gave me. FWIW, he never said a single word and just looked at me stone faced the whole time.

Al Kaline has never been the most cordial autograph guest on the circuit but his signature is always simple and clean. He turns 82 in December, how many 82 year olds can hold an Allen and Ginter card in one hand and sign decently with the other? It would be hard to get a decent signature from anyone, unless the card was matted on an 8x10 board.

Red Schoendienst is older and did exactly that, giving me his typical every letter signature while holding the card in one hand. Al's in great shape, and the card was actually on a page mounted with photo corners, in a binder. He could've easily signed his neat graph, or at the very least much closer to it. This is just what you get when you're not paying him.
