Negative feedback disappearing

I recently left a negative feedback for a seller on a bad transaction and the next day it was gone. I just looked again (about 2 weeks) and I see it is back again. Has this happened to anyone else?
The only thing I can think of is that he disputed it and it was reinstated except eBay never contacted me.
