Leon, they are being used for fake pre-war. I know of an antique store in Hawaiin Gardens, Ca. that has a Babe Ruth Rookie sealed with one of these stickers for $20. Not only that but signed auto photos, other cards, etc. (All fake with these stickers). These stickers are for one thing only, and that's to defraud! Unbelievable FB would sponsor these stickers.

| People Are Falling For These

At a recent convention I had a man come to our booth with a dozen cards in plastic sleeves with these labels sealing the opening. This was the first time I had seen them. Every card was fake. |

It’s an interesting case, to be sure. It’s that slippery slope. Follow me for a minute. Maybe some legit guy somewhere is looking to buy holograms for his new start up. Yeah, they can be used for shady purposes, but what about the small guy who is legit? Where does he buy things like this if we put the stops to it? And I get the argument that only “legit” companies should be able to “make” these sorts of things, but where does it stop? Eventually the only people allowed to buy sharpies will be Tri-Star and other companies that have autograph guests for fear of forgeries? Trust me, I get it. I hate people who get one over on the uneducated as much as everyone else. I just don’t know if there is a good answer or if Amazon will even consider it a “bad” product. The key is education. on amazon seller clearly states - "is registered at the International Hologram Manufacturers Association (IHMA)" So there is that! Like my Dad always used to tell me - "It costs money to be stupid" [quote=biggsdaddycool;1833084]It’s an interesting case, to be sure. It’s that slippery slope. Follow me for a minute.
