| 1916 & 1917 Zeenut

Hey all, I posted on here earlier this week asking for help figuring out a price on a 1916 Frank Chance Zeenut. I know have the pictures as well as the other 6 I would like to acquire. Finding prices is very hard. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Last edited by lbailey; 07-13-2019 at 08:57 PM. Reason: Adding pictures |

Forgetting the Chance I would guesstimate 450-650 each. But those are just guesses. Good luck.

Why to cards with coupons say hand cut on the slab?

| I have a couple of 16's that say the same thing. I'm not sure why PSA started labeling like that. And from what I can tell it's just with the 16's so far. Last edited by asphaltman; 07-15-2019 at 05:01 AM. |

Darn good question - those are awesome. Probably worth about $40 a piece. I'd be willing to give you $50 a piece. Send me your paypal address.... Those are really nice. As I was scrolling down the pictures I was waiting to see a Claxton and crap my pants. Thank you for not having the Claxton else it would have been embarrassing trying to explain why I crapped my pants.... Edited to add - those are condition rarities.

Looking at the one I added, serial numbers are all right there together with the other 1916's designated with the hand cut label. So obviously all from the same submission, and most likely, find. |

The last 1916 Zeenut Chance that VCP lists in anything remotely similar to the condition of this one was a SGC 70 (5.5) without tab that sold for $1,645 in 2011. I would probably use a 4X multiplier for one with a tab, although there are others who have far more experience with this set than I do.

Just my guess, in the right auction house that Chance with the tab would be $7500-$10,000 |

Since they can't detect trimming they're phasing in the "handcut" designation on all cards.

Does a handcut on the memo even effect value on these?

The hand cut designation is a complete joke. I think the tpg's have their heads up their behinds assessing strip cards. Those cards are no more hand cut than a factory cut '72 Topps. They got it wrong. Period. They shouldn't affect value as collectors should know the tpg is wrong.
