Satchel Paige Perez Steele question

Hi Guys:

I am NOT an autograph collector, but I am trying to trade with a guy who has an expensive piece of memorabilia I want. He tells me he will let it go for an autographed Satchel Paige Perez Steele Postcard.

Having no idea of value, I would like to know a general price field I would have to pay to pick one up to decide if it is worth my time to look for one.

If the item he has I want is worth say for example $5K and a Paige is worth say again for example $10K, there is no need for me to waste time looking.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

I understand. That was the first item I found when I did a google search. After briefly looking, I did not notice many recent sales. It's a pretty scarce item. Perhaps you could find something more recent searching a little deeper than I did, but I certainly don't think the value went down from there, especially not with the recent boom in prices.
