Default 1955 Topps Double Header unperforated question

Does PSA graded unperforated cards?

How was the unperforated distributed? Just like the perforated, but
somehow they missed the perforation in the factory ?

Do the unperforated demand a slight premium? They are definitely rarer and they look great ! I have only had a few unperforated in my years of collecting.
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I did a little research. The unopen packs are small in size so this means the cards where folded when distributed in packs . This means unperforated cards never came in packs and must have been cut from full sheets that got out of the factory.

Does anyone know if psa graded the unperforated cards?

I have a set and an unopened pack. My set player panels are all perforated and the pack has one folded panel. I do not have any unperforated examples. Few of my 55 are graded, but on one, an Aaron, the perforation is hardly noticeable

I also collect the 67 Stand Ups and my set is a cpmbination of finished die cut or perforated cards and unfinished cards with no perforations or cuts. Maybe the unperforated 55s are unfinsihed product

I think this is spot on Al. The unperfed 55's never got cut, who knows why but maybe the set was not selling well? Many of the 132 illos. were based upon the inset drawings on the regular 1955 cards, covering nos. 1-148 with about two dozen exceptions. Between that and the players who didn't make the cut, I think they never planned to issue any more than the original 66. Topps possibly kept a few on hand for reference as well and I'm not sure how these entered the hobby. While many drawings are crude, it's a colorful set and the side-by-side panoramas were amazing

The 67 Standups can be completed in both finished and (I think) proof form. They remain one the rarest issued sets of the era from Topps.
