This is the 35th anniversary of Nolan Ryan's 5,000th Strikeout
Looking at the calendar, I had to reflect on the fact that this is the 35th anniversary of HOF Nolan Ryan's historic 5,000th strikeout.
MLB has a few unassailable records, and Nolan passing the 5,000th K mark on August 22nd, 1989 was certainly one that captured national attention. For the record, HOF Ricky Henderson was Nolan's 5,000th K victim enroute to fanning 5,714 batters in his 27-year great career. Here's a tribute to Nolan's 5,000th K. Cheers Nolan!

I think one of the best deals out there in collecting — Nolan will sign cards for $75 through his foundation with 100% going to charity. They put their own hologram on for authentication. Got mine back in 6 weeks.
