I recently picked up a small lot of these PX3 coins. I’ve never seen them before so I thought they were pretty cool. Anyone collect this set and have any info about rarity or difficulty in building the set?

I once owned a complete set. I had collected a few over a decade or so and found them difficult to find. Esp in nice condition. So when I had a chance to buy a complete set I did.

I collect PX3s of the 4 players who were on the 1924 Senators WS Championship team - Joe Judge, Firpo Marberry, Sam Rice and Muddy Ruel. For Sam Rice, I am trying to get examples of all 5 colors. Here are the 3 colors I have. I'm missing yellow and green - can anyone help?

A duplicate post that miraculously ended up before the later one...otherwise known as an immaculate misconception.

There is no help for Val
, but I do have two, and they were wedged together, as these were intended, by some long ago juvenile delinquent collector, thus indeed making these 'buttons' Doubleheaders. Below is the Old Cardboard checklist for this set, which indicates what side each player is (either '1' or '2'...my Earnshaw is a 1, and Hodapp a 2), making it easier for those JD's to expend a little boyhood mathematical energy while showing off their almost manly strength, instead of what they would have otherwise been doing, which is picking on some small neighborhood child.https://www.oldcardboard.com/pins/px/px3/px3list.asp Brian Last edited by brianp-beme; 04-09-2025 at 09:17 PM. |

I love metal litho 'tinnies'; I have a quite a few from various issues and sports.
![]() ![]() Anyone ever tried to take apart a paired PX3? I have a paired pair and I would like to separate them w/o thrashing them.

These were paired when I found them. I was able to pull apart two with my fingernails, but the other pair were deeply wedged together. I slipped the blade of a box cutter in, and tried to be as gentle as I could, but they were pretty wedged together, so there was a little bit of scratching along the sides, but the faces remain intact.
