Many years ago I purchased a 1910 philadelphia athletics cabinet photo that was in pieces and is in terrible condition but does come with a letter from the hall of fame wanting this cabinet photo for their collection. Im looking for a way of displaying this piece with the letter in possibly in a frame and want to know how I could do this? I really don't want to put a ton of money into this i paid i believe $50 for it on eBay about 10-15 years ago. Would it be possible to glue it down on a piece of acid free board and then frame it? Thanks guys you have always been a great help

Maybe just use archival tape on the back only to put it back together….. then it’s not permanently degraded.

3M spray glue might work but it’s pretty permanent and you have to have everything lined up on the first try. If you let it dry a bit before lining up the jigsaw pieces, it’s a little more forgiving.
