Hi, I want to extend my thanks to Leon for letting me join this website. The amount of dialogue and topics just blows my mind when I read through all the stuff that is out here.
Have contemplated joining for a long time. Recently retired from work (not by my choice) and have always wanted to partake in the discussions here. Should be able to do that now with my free time. I'm a baseball card collector. Started in the early 1970's. Ramped up with the surge in popularity in the 1980's. In it again with the recent trends taking place. I have some "newer" cards (Caitlin Clark SI, Shohei Ohtani BBM 2013). But my all-time favorites are my complete 1935 4 in 1 Goudey collection, Babe Ruth cards, and SJJ (Shoeless Joe Jackson). The latter intrigues me the most, as I'm currently trying to get some information from Mike Nola (the unequivocal historian of SJJ, who runs BlackBetsy.com and sits on the BOD for the SJJ Museum in Greenville, SC) with regard to a SJJ Tobacco card. I'm hoping to hear back from him at some time in the future on my inquiry, and when I do, I am hoping to post his findings here to the site. Outside of that, I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving and I'll do my best to support Leon and this wonderful site. |

Net 54 is a wealth of information! Looking forward to the follow up on the SJJ teaser!
