| 1915 Cracker Jack Jackson on ebay

Posted By: Bill C.   There is a decent looking 1915 Cracker Jack Joe Jackson on ebay at the moment. However, is the grading company CSA reliable or are they known to grade reprints? |

Posted By: warshawlaw I bought a 1954 Williams that was really nice and readily crossed over to a PSA 7 holder. I bought a 1953 Bowman Spahn that was altered yet encapsulated by CSA. Their web site has a very prominent disclaimer of any warranties as to quality of service. I'd not spend a lot of $$ on a CSA-graded card unless I could look it over in person first. |

Posted By: Bill C. I've only been on here a couple of times and trying to remember correctly, thought the other Bill was just 'Bill'. Don't worry, I leave for the military in a few days so I won't be around. Thanks for any/all info! |

Posted By: gdporter CSA was a reasonably good early-on grading company, that would not likely have mistaken reprints. However, I have had a number of CSA cards that were not crossed to other grading companies becuase they were trimmed. At this point, rightly or wrongly, I assume that CSA cards are trimmed since, otherwise, the seller ought have crossed them to a current grading company. |

Posted By: Tex ...should have a pretty good idea how that card would grade with PSA. He used to be one of their biggest dealers and still sells a lot of their modern cards (under different accounts of course.) |

Posted By: JDWeller Appears to be the same card that was sold as trimmed. Either way the CSA version is too short. Too bad the guy bid so much. |

Posted By: warshawlaw and considering that a PSA 8 is worth 5-6x what this one sold for, that should tell you everything about the seller: either a crook who slipped a trimmed card past CSA or a moron who doesn't know any better. |
