Is it too good to be true? Here's the link:

Obviously I wish it were complete. I can peel enough of it away to see that it's a Piedmont back. If it can be authenticated - Anyone care to venture a guess at it's value.

I believe the only authentic Wagner's come in a Sweet Caporal back, I could be wrong on that though. Anyone else???

I believe a small number (1 or 2) with Piedmont backs have been found.

Thanks for the input - I believe there are 2 known examples with Piedmont backs (maybe 3 now?).

I actually think there are 3 authenticated Piedmont back Wagners known. This one isn't the 4th.

The Magee in that picture is the infamous Magie error! There are only 2 known Piedmont reverse Wagners. However, if you like to sell the book I will gladly give $50 for it.

There are definately 2 Piedmont Wagners, the PSA 8 and the Charles Bray one that Mastro acutioned a few years ago. I believe there was one offered in the Trader Speaks many years ago, but nobody has ever verified it or knows what came of it. It has not appeared since.

I believe that there is one in the baseball Hall of Fame, and Mastro recently auctioned one off to make 3 known.

I heard that PSA authenticated a similar Wagner that had the whole orange background cut away.
As for value, it is anyone's guess. I'll throw out a guess of 20k.
