| Help with Turn of the Century Cards

Posted By: AFD My grandfather recently passed away. He has been an avid baseball card collector for the better part of his life and left a ton of cards to me (about 100-200). I dont collect and have no idea if these are worth anything. But I need some money for a down payment on a house and would be willing to sell these cards together or separately. I will take all offers and accept the best offer. Ive scanned two cards (shown below) that I inherited and that are representative of the types of cards in my fathers collection. Ive heard of wagner. I dont know who the other guy is, I only know that there are a lot of cards that look like it. |

Posted By: Hal Lewis PS - That Wagner is not a baseball card, but is instead a place mat from a "throwback" Diner in Two Forks, Kentucky circa 1995. |

Posted By: Josh K. Perhaps there are two Reccius Wagners - which might actually cause Hal to drop dead. (Im not saying anyone would actually want that, of course). |

Posted By: Paul I like the idea of finding graded cards in grandpa's collection. (Or was it dad's?) That's a nice touch that I don't think I have actually seen in any ebay auction. |

Posted By: AFD its obviously Hal's Wagner and Julie's Galvin. I tried to pick fairly recognizable cards so that people would catch on fairly quickly. I probably could have pulled this off better with some less obvious cards. I hope no one (ie Hal and Julie) are upset that I hijacked their images. Until I know, maybe I will keep my secret id. |
