T206 Miller-Pittsburgh No H

My Miller card has no H; it says Pittsurg. Is this a known error card?

Or is this just a printing error?

The rest of the ink on the title is thin.

The back is a Piedmont 350.

I don't think its a known error, but I wouldn't consider it one. Its obvious that the ink was just running low and ran out before the H. The letters before the H are very faint and some even partially there.

I think all the cards in the set spell it "Pittsburg." The city officially lost the H in the late 19th century and regained it in 1911.

My scholarly friend, Steve, is quite right about the h being dropped
around 1890 or so by the U.S. Board of Geographic Names---and put back
in again around 1911.
I'm thinking the tobacco baseball card companies must have been obedient in
printing Pittsburg without the H. At least, that's my take.
