I had the good fortune of picking up this significant group within the past couple weeks. I normally don't post about recent acquisitions however since these cards are hard to find just for viewing - let alone made available for sale - I thought I'd post some scans of the group.

All in all, this group consists of 65 of the 72 cards in the set. Many are still in nice shape and there are a few "hand cut" examples in the collection as well.

I'll start by posting the Portland players I have and can get some of the other teams in later on today. This team includes the card of Peckinpaugh in the second row.

For those curious, the missing cards are Fitzgerald, Heister, LaLonge, Lewis and ORourke from Sacramento, Daley from LA and Berry from San Francisco.

wow...awesome find!!! How will you sell them? Lately there have been lots of small hoards(yours is a big hoard!) or rare cards that have really driven prices down (ie. butter creams, t222, etc)

Nice collection. That's the biggest group I've ever seen together. Are these on par with the t209's and t210's as far as scarcity? I only have two of them but they are favorites of mine.

Fantastic cards. Thanks for posting them.

I think its interesting that there are a couple of different uniform styles for the Portland players. D311's are a one year issue, correct?

Also, Buddy Ryan of Portland (i'm assuming its Buddy) looks like a black man.

I really like the "Why, I ought'a give ya' the back of my hand" Mohler pose ....

As a Vernon fan (for no other reason that I like their art-deco funky Tiger logo), I have a comment and a question:

1 -- Suprised no Carlisle card.
2 -- Did Hap Hogan really have a glass eye ?? (I can't image a catcher with no depth perception).

Love the Castleton. Is he batting cross-handed? Made me realize that I haven't seen that many mid-swing cards in vintage sets. The Wares pose is also unique.
