I wondered the same thing when I first saw that card. I figured the seller isn't crying about the grade so there's something that isn't obvious in the scan that isn't being disclosed in the item description. I have a PSA1 34 Goudey that appears beautiful but there is a rather large paper tear that isn't quite visible in a scan. The ebay seller I purchased the card from disclosed the problem and I didn't think it was that bad. Technically the card deserved a "1" but aesthetically, it presented well, like this Ruth card. |

Do you think the guy who submitted the card just didn't want the qualifier "OC" and would rather have a grade 1? |

Can't see the back. I'd bet there's paper loss or glue stains or some other such catastrophe. |

My experience with PSA has been there are grade uppers (where a card is borderline it goes to the next higher grade), or the grade downers (where a borderline card drops to the lower grade). This card got a downer. I don't think it's undergraded, but could have been easily a 2. |

Steve is correct ... multiple creases right across the middle of the card. The card was definitely folded in half at some point. There must be some slight paper loss, or perhaps some paper separation which has been folded/pressed back down, which is not evident from the scan. |

Look between the top and second buttons, its there you can see it. At first I didn't, but upon a closer look they stand out. |

I saw this card, too, and queried the seller. His only response was that the card had creases across the uniform that do not show up in the scan. Scans definitely don't show everything, but if this is true, the grade makes no sense. Would not be the first time. |

Most definitely an attractive card and the price reflects it. |
