| ripped or trimmed ?

Posted By: Dylan I see a lot nice looking authentics out selling poor graded cards anyways. I would often rather have a card with superior eye appeal thats "A" for some small alteration then a beat to hell 1. |

| ripped or trimmed ?

Posted By: quan I agree that if a corner is ripped off (like some CJs), it should be in A holders. I don't understand numerical grades on cards with obvious missing piece/chunk (I'm not talking about a dinged T222 corner). For a tear I can see a PSA1/SGC10 grade. |

| ripped or trimmed ?

Posted By: warshawlaw is one of the most artificial and irritating ones out there. If a card has a corner bashed off accidentally they will give it a 1; intentionally cut off, they often won't grade it. I've had exhibits with the coupons removed rejected for that when other cards with even greater total surface area % missing are graded. Drives me crazy. |

| ripped or trimmed ?

Posted By: basestealer b. basestealer I believe a trimmed card, or a card missing a piece of portion of it, is poor condition card. It should grade as such. Before grading services came to be, that is how it was done. When a card was scribbled on, marked with markers, cut, abused, or heavily worn--it became a poor condition card. Very little resale value, but good as a filler until a replacement could be found. The only thing that should be bodybagged is a counterfeit. |
