I just recieved a few cards that I bought in an ebay auction - the numbers seem to show up on the registry, and the cards look real and everything, but the SGC cases seem thinner and flimsy - on the flap it has the 10/20/30 designation and the word (poor/good) but not the other PSA style number. Also the hologram on the back is bigger and different. |

There have been a few label changes by SGC since they started encapsulating cards. I actually like the older hologram on the back because of the new and old ball players depicted. Heres a scan of a card graded by SGC from their earlier days. You can see the difference in the front label. |

there are size and configuration variances from the earlier to later cases. Earlier cases are noticeably thinner and smaller |

A few years ago, I asked SGC to convert to the newer cases a few cards that had been graded in the older cases. They wouldn't do it, saying that their standards for grading are higher now than they were then. |
