Posted By: Dylan Is this someone from the board? Have you done any business with him before, any references? If your gut feeling is someones trying to pull one on you, proceed carefully. |

Posted By: Rand no one on this board. i was interested if someone on the board had a story about a similiar situation. i am proceeding legally to see what, if anything really happened to the package. |

Posted By: Anthony Unfortunately I've had this happen a few times, both from the USPS and once from a major auction house in a FedEx shipment. In all cases I was on the receiving end of it. It does happen. |

Posted By: Corey R. Shanus From what I've been told the safest way to send cards is via registered mail. When it is done that way, the package is literally tape-sealed at each potential opening and stamps affixed to the seals. That way if it is opened before it reaches its intended recipient there would be evidence of tampering. I'm also told that when the package is not on a truck/plane, it is kept in a safe. Has anybody who has shipped this way encountered problems? I'm curious to know. |

Posted By: Misunderestimated (Brian H.) I sold a 1914 CJ 3-Finger Brown on eBay and shipped it Priority insured and the card was removed from the box. But for whatever odd reason the package got shipped back to me resealed neatly but emptied of the card. I called the disappointed buy/winner and informed him about what happened and subsequently refunded his money. |
