T206 Piedmont 350 Release Date?

Hello everyone,

I always assumed the T206 Piedmont release date was later in 1910 or early 1911. However, we (as in my company) came across a large lot of Piedmont 350's today, one of which was stamped and dated by a company from Christiansburg, PA "December 14, 1909". When was the release date?

That date stamp makes sense, my understaning is mainstream 350 series distribution started late 1909/early 1910.

Is it possible to get a scan posted of the stamped back? That's quite a bit of history in the stamp.

The Dec 1909 date is consistent with Scot Reader's text (page 16) in that his research suggests "Winter/Spring 1910"
release for the 350-only Series.
And, also it is consistent with the Piedmont brand being the first of the T-brands to be issued with each Series release.

Guys, I will check the consignor's card later today. It is part of a 120 card T206 lot in our upcoming auction, so I don't remember. I will see if I can get a scan too....

Please post a scan of the card, front and back.

Dec 09 would be consistent with current understanding of release dates for the 350 cards. A December 1909 date could be stamped on a card in 1908, 1988, or even 2008. We'd like to see a scan.

Thank you, the Downey fielding pose tells us that this card is strictly from the 350-only Series.
And, not a 350/460 Series card.
