yuk! Saw a thread elsewhere today on "SCD" grading co. Guess it's the latest trend in slabbing scams.

There are (were) two different "SCD Grading" companies. The first one was owned/operated by Krause Publications and Sports Collectors Digest. They had a red logo/label and the grading seems to be pretty consistent with PSA and SGC, if not a bit tougher. I've heard nearly all good reports from people who have crossed cards from this "SCD Grading" to PSA or SGC at the same or higher grades.

The second "SCD Grading" company, Sports Cards Direct, is the one in the posted auction. They bought the rights to the "SCD Grading" name and continue to grade cards, with a blue logo/label. Your best bet is to stay far away from these cards (the blue logo/label), as their closest rival is probably Pro Grading.
