| SGC Grading System

How does the SGC Grading System work when they are actually grading the card. When you look up your invoice and check each individual card there is a score 10 - 100 and A. What can you tell from that before they actually give it a grade? Thanks Tom |

Those numbers are the grades. If you don't know what the numbers mean, check SGC's website for an interpretation of their grading scale. Here it is: http://www.sgccard.com/grading_scale.htm "A" means "Authentic", but for some reason, the card could not grade numerically (could be altered, hand-cut, or a couple other things). Cheers, Blair

Sorry I probably wasn't clear. Each card has a scorecard. I am taking a stab in the dark but I think as each grader looks at a card and gives it a grade for each specific attribute, it is scored and tallied. I was wondering if anyone knew how to interpret this before the card was graded which way it would go. Thank Tom |

| No those are the grades

There is no score tabulation. if you are seeing numbers in the grade column those are the grades of your cards. SGC uses a A-100 point system. They do not have each number, and an 84 is not equal to an 8.4 but a 7. What Bosox said to you was correct. Those are the grades you are seeing.

If you look up the invoice number for cards you have submitted to SGC on their website, it lists each card. If you click on the players name (it's a hyperlink) it takes you to a page with cards information and what looks like a tally sheet for scoring of the card. If you have never submitted to SGC you won't understand what I am talking about. Tom |

| Thats the pop report

I believe you are referring to the population report. I worked at SGC so I am more than a little familiar with the process.
