http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...&lotIdNo=21001 Anyone want to guess the reserve? Will it top the $40k mentioned here? http://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=116445

Very poor selection for card collectors in the preview.
Anyone hear what cards are going to be in Legendary's live auction? |

guessing more high-end memorabilia and a few nice complete sets if it's anything like years past. I'll be there, should be fun.

Matt, I still have my doubts that ANY of the bids on that Earl Smith the first time around were legit. There is absolutely no precedent for that card to garner even a fraction of the price. Who decided this was an important card? It isn't even 100% confirmed to be an actual shortprint or anything (at least nobody has provided proof that I have seen).

I think there was a mandatory $75 donation at the Legendary Auction last year, no? I guess the food and drinks were in fact free though....

ah, thought that was optional... whoops!
I'll be attending the n54 dinner that night anyway, but would like to head over to the auction as well if it's close. |

As with any item the market will determine what the value of this card is. This time the card is being offered with no reserve.

Has there been anything at all to support the idea that this card is tougher then any other Harrington? SGC shows a pop of 4 of the Earl Smith (Green) which actually makes it more then almost any other card in the set - most have SGC pops between 1-3.

I am just guessing, of course. I hope the card goes for the all the money for the consignor. I have an interest up to about 5% of what someone thought it would bring before.....
