Dizzy Dean Photo Help
I bought this photograph a while ago during a sports memorbilia auction. Now I'm almost certain that the Dizzy Dean autograph is fake but the photo itself definitely is old. However, is this really a picture of Dizzy Dean or another player? Or am I reading the autograph right? Any comments would be welcome...

No idea on the autograph, but it looks just like Ol' Diz, and I can see the "7" of his number "17" peeking over the shoulder. I'd say it's a 99.9% surity is him.

And I think it was taken at Wrigley Field.

Without looking at other Dean images, it does look like the follow through that both he and his brother had.
The autograph doesn't look right. I have a pen signed 3x5 of Dizzy. I didn't get it out to compare, but that one on the photo doesn't look right. Notwithstanding that, just look at the ink mark... that looks like a modern marker, it doesn't look like a pen of 80 years ago. |

It's not Dizzy's autograph. I can promise you that.
